Description

Tutorial on how fundamental rights are protected within the European Union, with a special focus on the Charter.

It seeks to provide assistance in

  • establishing whether the Charter is relevant in a specific case,
  • clarifying questions of applicability, interpretation and effects
  • determining when Charter rights can be limited.

Information is provided in a very practise oriented way and supported with references to relevant Case Law.

The tutorial addresses indivuals with no legal knowledge as well as legal professionals - information for different levels of expertise are marked.

The Tutorial operates in conjunction with the CharterClick! Checklist, which is an interactive tool to provide practical help in determining the Charter’s scope.

The tutorial has been developed within the EU co-funded project Charterclick.
