Judging the Charter

The Charter in judicial practise with a special focus on the case of protection of refugees and asylum seekers

Charterclick! Checklist

The Chartercklick! Checklist is a tool that provides guidance on the question of applicability for Charter rights in a concrete case.

The Checklist is addressed to individuals who feel they have been the victim of a violation of their EU fundamental rights, as well as to national courts, lawyers and other legal practitioners who can offer assistance to those individuals.

In a step-after-step approach it guides users through questions about the complainant, the cause of the alleged violation, a potential relation to a Charter right and the connection with EU law and tries to give an answer on the question of applicability.

It is inteded to be used in in combination with a Tutorial on fundamental rights protection in the EU. Both tools have been developed by the project team of the EU co-funded project CharterClick!
